Bachelors Abroad - Nat Geo Enters the World of Global Dating

NOTE:  For a running commentary of this cool new Reality Show, check out www.internationallovescout.com - they have a Bachelors Abroad category on their blog about the show.

The show should be pretty cool as it will be following guys as they trek around the globe meeting and dating (and hopefully marrying) sexy foreign women from Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe.

This first episode follows the guys as they cruise around the Ukraine - but if the show gets picked up I have it on good authority that the next episode will take place somewhere in Asia, most likely in China or the Philippines as they are at the center of the Asian mail order bride scene.

Here is a Press Release About The Show:

The Phoenix-based company A Foreign Affair is the focus of a new reality show on The National Geographic Channel that will premiere on Saturday, January 12th, 2013 at 11:00 pm EST (9:00 pm MST). The show is entitled “Bachelors Abroad” and follows A Foreign Affair tour clients as they participate in the company’s international romance tours.

Follow groups of eager, single, American men who are ditching their local dating scenes to find love abroad! The groups visit multiple foreign cities, attend socials where the women significantly outnumber the men, and try to meet the women who could change their lives forever.

A Foreign Affair president and co-founder, John Adams, is excited for the public to finally get a glimpse of international dating. “This is something that we have been working towards for almost twenty years! We couldn’t be happier that a network as prestigious as National Geographic was the one to finally realize what amazing potential our singles tours really hold. This show will give the public a window into what really takes place during an international singles tour!”

The show will attempt to give a clear, honest perspective on dating abroad. “I was on the tour that was filmed,” says Mr. Adams, “and I have to say it was very exciting. The guys were fantastic. The film crew members were like flies on the wall, simply observing and recording everything as it took place.”

A Foreign Affair is one of the world’s top international dating agencies and hosts over 40 tours a year to places like Eastern Europe, Latin America, and Asia. On a tour, clients have the chance to explore new cities, meet new people, and discover long-lasting relationships. The clients enjoy one-on-one introductions, large social events throughout their tours, and many other tour accommodations

Is It Your Habit? Reading Books!

Reading activities

In a world that is slowly but surely turning away from books and getting

glued to monitors or television screens, the importance of developing a

passion for reading cannot be overlooked. Reading is a habit and should be

established when the child is relatively young. What can you do to foster

this habit?

Enroll your child for reading classes:

There are many well structured after school reading classes that aim to

draw the children to books. They help kids with diction, idioms and

phrases. For young children, these classes can be fun with animated

characters and pictures. Illustrated picture books, rhymes, silly songs

and pretend stories all attract the young child. Use creativity to capture

the child’s vivid imagination.

Pique your child’s interest:

If your child has a favorite character, pick a series of books that

features this character. For my son, it was Spiderman. Thanks to friendly

neighborhood spidey, my son latched on to comics fairly early in his

childhood.

Build a home-library:

A skill like reading cannot be learnt in isolation. Do not leave all the

hard work to the after school program. Pick up books that you think your

child will like. The Internet is also a rich resource of reading games

that will attract little children to the fine art of reading.
